Sorry to spam you with all these on a Sunday morning.  Between my daughter in the hospital and being busy at work I had some trouble catching up.

The Blue Silhouette is a target the range just bought.  IT SUCKS. Allow me to list some further excuses.

1. I think my new med is messing with my shooting.
2. Minutes before I shot my centerfire, I found out my friend from the range had hours to live.  The one I bought the target pistol from. He passed away the next morning.
3. I HATE THAT DAMN TARGET

Currently, I doubt I will rank high enough in centerfire to make the Top Gun Shootoff.  Before I shot the rimfire, I was tied for first points, but ahead of the other guy in bullseyes.  Now I am down one point. The only way I can retake the lead is to make zero mistakes and hope he makes one.  The shooter behind me in third will not catch up to me.

Commentary: I should have measured the bullseye for you.  These are huge.  The Rangemaster calls them “The Hellen Keller”.  Does not matter, a 200 is a 200 and I will take that everyday.  

We are now officially half way done with the league.  I have a feeling the targets will get harder.  We will start seeing Black on Black and Orange on Orange Bullseye targets at 50’ Currently I am in 3rd place for rimfire and 5th place for centerfire.

Week 5

RIMFIRE!!! For the second time in my life I shot a 100 10x on a target!!! I was dialed in!! Nothing like a quarter size grouping to make your day!

Centerfire Commentary: Could have done better but happy with how I did.

Week 4

Centerfire Commentary The orange silhouette looks great, the NRA target is about as bad of a 100 as you can shoot.  BUT I’LL TAKE IT!! My arms felt like jello when I shot it.  

Rimfire Commentary The Buckmark is running like a top now that the trigger is lightened up and the gun is actually clean.  

I usually post my league targets on Thursday but I was way too busy to make it to the range.  I am going to try to go tomorrow.  In the meantime, I have finally finished the work on my Beretta M9!

This is the gun I will be using at Camp Perry this year for the National Championships.

I replaced the fixed sights with adjustable target sights and replaced the stock barrel with a KKM Match Barrel.

Its the only mods I can afford to do will be doing.  :)

All that’s left is test-firing. Then lots of practice…

I feel like a shithead for saying I am disappointed but I am. I have a very good friend I shoot with and his job is to monitor my behavior and tell me if I start acting like a gun snob.  He says I am OK right now :)

 Rimfire Commentary: I am going to completely detail strip my Browning Buckmark this weekend.  I was adjusting the trigger during practice and found it was WAY out of whack.  A whole 1/2 turn on the trigger overtravel screw.  

Centerfire Commentary: The centerfire targets have a vertical pattern which means my breathing is off.  I am firing the weapon at different points in my breathing which causes the shots to go up and down.

I have some work to do.
